Applying the electrodes

  • Remove 2 x electrodes from their sealed foil packet.

  • Remove the cover from the back of each electrode and place the device’s electrode on your sternum, with the connector pointing towards your chin. The second electrode, attached to the ECG cable should then be applied to your ribcage, with the connector facing your sternum.

Please take care not to apply pressure on the center of the electrode during application.

Fitting the monitor

Remove the battery cover on the rear of the device, which will reveal 2 x pre-inserted batteries.

  • Pull the blue tabs off of each battery, then replace the battery cover and wait for the tones to finish before moving onto the next step.

  • Place the supportive necklace over your head, then connect the device and ECG cable to the electrode’s snap connectors.

  • Press the center key of the R.Test (the largest of the 3 buttons on the face of the monitor)

  • The monitor will then start to emit an audible signal, with the series of tones lasting around 20 seconds.

  • After this period the monitor’s tones will change to a synchronised beep in line with your ECG.

  • Press the center key of the R.Test one last time, stopping the audible tones and starting the procedure.

The device is now continuously monitoring your ECG signals.
