Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Novacor UK is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045 in alignment with the NHS’s Net Zero ambition.

We support NHS England’s supplier roadmap and are actively working to reduce emissions across our operations and supply chain, consistent with NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap milestones, including full alignment with NHS Net Zero by 2045 or earlier.

Carbon Reduction Measures

Completed Measures to Date:

  • Introduced electric/hybrid fleet vehicles

  • Reduced staff commuting emissions through hybrid work policies 

  • Introduced a “digital first” service delivery, reducing travel and physical resource requirements. 

 

Planned Measures (2025–2028):

 

Scope 1: Direct Emissions (Company-owned fuels, vehicles)

  • Replace all company diesel cars with an EV/HEV

  • Introduce virtual customer consultations and self-service features

  • Consolidate deliveries/bulk orders

  • Replace 1 company HEV with an EV to eliminates Scope 1 vehicle emissions

Scope 2: Indirect Energy Emissions (Electricity use)

  • Introduce smart heating/timers in office

  • IInstall energy-efficient lighting and smart plugs

  • Switch to a 100% renewable electricity supplier

Scope 3: Indirect Supply Chain & Travel Emissions

  • Conduct a Scope 3 spend-based audit

  • Introduce a Sustainable Procurement Policy

  • Encourage public transport or active commuting

  • Implement supplier engagement to collect emissions data

  • Introduce minimum sustainability standards for Tier 1 suppliers

  • Introduce supplier carbon reporting requirements for Tier 1 suppliers

  • Full Scope 3 emissions inventory aligned with NHS Procurement guidance

  • Transition vehicle fleet to EV
